Terms of Service for Online Services

Welcome to applying for the services provided by Alternate History. You can only use the services provided by Alternate History after registration. Before you decide to register, please carefully read this service agreement and confirm that you fully understand the provisions of this agreement (especially the content marked in bold underline). Once you click to confirm this agreement, it means that you have accepted the following terms and conditions and agree to be bound by this agreement. If you disagree with accepting all the terms and conditions, then you will not be able to use the corresponding services provided by Alternate History. Minors should read this agreement accompanied and guided by a guardian and obtain the consent of the guardian before using the services under this agreement. 1. Confirmation and Acceptance of the Service Agreement
- Please read and carefully choose whether to accept or reject this agreement. Unless you accept all the terms of this agreement, you are not entitled to register, log in, or use the corresponding services involved in this agreement. Your actions such as registration, login, use, etc., will be regarded as acceptance of this agreement and you agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement, which will constitute a legally binding document between you and Alternate History.
- The scope of this service agreement applies to all products and services of Alternate History, including but not limited to Alternate History mobile clients, PC web pages, HTML5, and other full-range products of Alternate History. When you use each individual service of Alternate History, you agree to accept the service terms required by the individual service and the various announcements issued by Alternate History in the service (hereinafter referred to as "individual terms") in the manner required by the individual service. In this case, the individual terms are to be interpreted and applied together with this service agreement. If there is a conflict between the individual terms and this service agreement, the individual terms shall prevail within the scope of the individual service.
2. Improvement and Modification of the Service Agreement
Alternate History will continuously improve the quality of service and modify this service agreement according to the development of the internet and changes in regulations. The expression of the rights and obligations of users shall be in accordance with the most recent service agreement. Due to the large number of users of Alternate History, if changes are made to this agreement, we will notify you by pushing notifications, sending emails, or posting announcements on the official Alternate History website. The revised agreement will apply from the effective date specified in the notification or website. If you continue to use the services of this platform after the revision of this policy, it indicates that you have fully read, understood, and accepted the revised agreement and are willing to be bound by it.
3. Regulations on Registration with Alternate History
- To enable you to use the services provided by Alternate History normally, we may need to manage real-name registration according to the legal requirements of the country where you are located. When registering, you may be required to submit personal information such as your real name, identity card number, permanent address, and contact information. You must ensure that the information submitted is authentic and valid, and be aware of updating the registered personal information in time. Otherwise, Alternate History has the right to refuse the application or revoke it, and stop providing related services.
- Based on the premise of the previous article, for members who have registered before the publication of this agreement but have not provided real-name authentication information, Alternate History has the right to require them to provide personal information such as their real name, identity card number, permanent address, and contact information before using the services provided by Alternate History. If they refuse to provide it within a reasonable period, Alternate History has the right to refuse to provide related services or cancel their registration account.

Based on the above premises, users who need to register in real name must comply with the relevant requirements of the laws and regulations of their country, and must not use software, employ commercial institutions and personnel, etc., to disseminate information, interfere with normal order of following posts, mislead public opinion, or publish or spread content that infringes on the third party's rights of reputation, portrait, name, trademark, copyright, patent, and other personal rights or intellectual property rights, as well as other content prohibited or restricted by national laws and regulations and public morals, including:
- 1. Opposing the basic principles established by the constitution of the country;
- 2. Endangering the safety of the country or region, leaking secrets of the country or region, subverting the power of the country or region, and undermining the unity of the country or region;
- 3. Damaging the honor and interests of the country or region;
- 4. Inciting ethnic hatred, ethnic discrimination, and undermining national unity;
- 5. Undermining the religious policies of the country or region, advocating cults and feudal superstition;
- 6. Spreading rumors, disrupting social order, and undermining social stability;
- 7. Spreading obscenity, pornography, gambling, violence, homicide, terror, or abetting crimes;
- 8. Insulting or slandering others, infringing upon the lawful rights and interests of others;
- 9. Inciting illegal gatherings, associations, marches, demonstrations, or gathering people to disturb social order;
- 10. Conducting activities in the name of illegal non-governmental organizations;
- 11. Containing other content prohibited by laws and administrative regulations.
- In the event of a violation of the relevant provisions of this agreement, Alternate History has the right to take measures such as deleting information, restricting functions, suspending or terminating services, and pursuing legal responsibilities according to the situation.
6. Regarding Interruption or Termination of Service
Given the special and complex nature of internet technology, Alternate History reserves the right to modify or interrupt services based on the platform's operational status without notifying you, but guarantees that this will not have a significant impact on your legal rights or those of third parties. You can manage settings in your personal center. Regarding account cancellation, you can click on "Cancel Account" in your personal center to delete all your personal information stored on this site, including but not limited to your registration information, shared information, creative content, etc.
In the event of force majeure, third-party factors, or unforeseeable and uncontrollable factors described in Article 5 that cause Alternate History to be unable to continue providing services, Alternate History will notify you as soon as possible.
If a user violates any content of this service agreement, Alternate History has the right to cancel the registration and stop providing services to the user.
7. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
The establishment, effectiveness, performance, interpretation, and dispute resolution of this agreement shall be applicable under the laws of the country or region in which you reside.
For any disputes arising from the interpretation or execution of this agreement, both you and Alternate History agree that if negotiations fail, either party may submit the dispute to the judicial authorities in the country or region of residence for adjudication, which will be legally binding on all parties. If there is a conflict between the individual terms and this service agreement regarding jurisdiction, the individual terms shall prevail within their scope.
8. Miscellaneous
The ownership, modification, and update rights of this agreement belong to Alternate History.
If any provision of this agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the said provision shall be severable and the remaining provisions shall continue to be legally effective.
The titles in these terms are set for convenience only and shall not serve as a basis for interpreting these terms.
